We have all been in a place where we have become totally comfortable with where we are. Things could have been good, bad, or indifferent. No matter what phase we found ourselves, we came to the conclusion that we are somehow to make this work. The thought process went like this, "If things were good, there is really no need to fix it." If things were bad, we said to ourselves, "Well, I've gotten used to it. So I'm not even going to worry about." when in fact, that situation has been wearing out your mind. Deep down inside you really want change. But the surface stuff is causing you to believe that you can't. It's causing you to think that your life is supposed to stay in that condition. But that's not true. The actual reason that things have become so uncomfortable lately is because God is trying to switch you from one place to the next. But in order to move you from here to there, He must first remove the mindset of, "Im staying here" to "I have to go!"
Shifting is never truly easy, but with God leading you, you'll be fine. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord, and lean not to your own understanding. But In all thy ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." God knows which way to go, even in dark times. I love how the Holy Spirit can navigate us through dark spaces in our lives. When you are uncomfortable where you are, it's merely God shifting you from one place to the next. Throughout life, we will go through these periods of change. I can say, however, that each shift pushes us closer to God's intended call on our lives. A Christian should continuously be moving, shaking, and shifting. Are you shifting?
God, please help me to move with You. Don't allow me to be stuck. But please allow me to move according to Your word, and according to Your plan. In Jesus name, Amen!
